About MochiShorts
What is MochiShorts?
MochiShorts is a free reading site for short drama stories: werewolf, billionaire, mafia, revenge, fantasy and mystery serials told in short chapters made for your phone. It is like a short drama app such as ReelShort or DramaBox, except you read the story instead of watching it.
Is MochiShorts free?
Yes, to start. The first 8 chapters of every book are free to read, with no account and no payment details. After chapter 8 you choose how to keep going: a monthly pass for every book, a short ad for one chapter, or buying that one book.
Do I need to download an app?
No. MochiShorts runs in your phone or computer browser. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app, but there is nothing to install.
Do I need an account?
No. You can read, save books to My List and pick up where you left off without signing up. Your progress is stored on your device, so clearing your browser data resets it.
Is MochiShorts like ReelShort or DramaBox?
It has the same kind of stories: big hooks, fast pacing and a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter. The difference is the format. Short drama apps are one-minute videos you pay for episode by episode, while MochiShorts is text you read at your own speed, with 8 free chapters per book.
The stories
Are the stories original?
Yes. Every story is original to MochiShorts, made by the MochiShorts story studio and published under pen names. None are adapted from other books, shows or real people.
How long is each book?
Each book is told in chapters of about 1,000 words, roughly five minutes each, so a whole story fits into an evening or a week of commutes.
Are the books complete?
Books are written to a real ending, not an endless serial. A few books are getting their final chapters added right now, and they will show up in the same book as soon as they are published.
Are the stories explicit?
No. The romance can be sensual, but nothing is explicit. Some stories include violence, betrayal and other mature themes, and the site is meant for adult readers.
What genres can I read?
Werewolf and rejected mate romance, billionaire and contract marriage romance, mafia romance, divorce revenge, romantasy, inspiring drama and family mysteries. Browse them by type on the story types page.
Can I request a story?
Yes. Email hello@theaicodingschool.com with the trope or story you want to read. Reader requests help decide what gets written next.
Reading
How do I unlock chapters after chapter 8?
When you reach chapter 9, a sheet shows your options: a monthly pass that opens every book, watching a short ad to unlock one chapter, or buying that single book. Prices are always shown before you pay.
Can I change the text size or use dark mode?
Yes. Tap Aa while reading to change the text size, spacing and page width, and switch between light and dark themes in Profile.
Does it save my place?
Yes. The For You feed shows a Keep reading button for the last chapter you opened, and every book you start is remembered on that device.
Can I read offline?
Not yet. You need an internet connection to open a chapter.
Privacy and contact
What data does MochiShorts collect?
No names, emails or accounts. Reading progress and saved books stay on your device. We count anonymous events, such as which chapters are read, tied to a random device ID so we know which stories readers enjoy. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I contact MochiShorts?
Email hello@theaicodingschool.com. A person reads every message.
