Privacy Policy

MochiShorts is built so you can read without telling us who you are. There are no accounts today.

Stored on your device

Your reading progress, saved books, unlocked chapters and display settings are kept in your browser's storage on this device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Anonymous usage analytics

We count things like which pages are opened, which stories and chapters are read, and which buttons are tapped, so we know which stories readers enjoy. These events are tied to a random device ID, never to your name or email. We don't record your screen or keystrokes. Our analytics provider is PostHog.

Service providers

The site is hosted on Vercel and the stories are served from Supabase. Like any website, these services process technical request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal data and we don't run third-party ad trackers. If that ever changes, this page will change first.

Children

MochiShorts is meant for adult readers and isn't directed at children under 13.
